No Cares

We had a soul-refreshing evening with twenty-one women at our local Cry Out! simulcast last night. Today I am pretending I don't have a care in the world besides fitting in all Lyme treatments, eating lots and lots of fats, veggies and protein, and taking naps at odd hours (like 11 a.m.).

I took the picture of mushrooms growing on old tree roots in our front lawn several days ago. This is an early-autumn of green grass, damp and mushrooms. Dad "hayed" the lawn in the rain yesterday.

A Week of Condiments

Condiments and I don't get along very well. At least the store bought version. And so it came to pass that I had a week of making condiments for the freezer... and for consumption, of course.

Mom's Dream Come True

Note I posted to my family's private Parents & Siblings Facebook Messenger thread:
"Finished two games of croquet a little while ago. Dad and Hannah won. I came in the last two positions. Mom dreamed up the plan (a week or so ago) and held the same two positions as me. Gulliver enjoyed moving balls, Reginald enjoyed company on the lawn and mosquitos enjoyed live bodies. Dorothy added her two-cents-worth while reclining inside the screen door."

Afterglow

Having been left with a setting sun and power outage after the storm, we cozied up with candle light, knitting and crochet.

Goodbye Telephone Co.

The local telephone company was in our family for seventy years. No longer. Dad and Uncle Wayne sold and retired at the end of August. Sad times. Happy times.

Among the happy was a celebration to thank the community (ice cream sundaes!). Dad's four siblings gathered from near and far for the occasion. Dorothy provided good smiles.

Cry Out!

Life continues at a pace. In the midst of it, I invite you to join me and many thousands in an evening of crying out to Jesus. Check out the free simulcast here.
