One Sunday afternoon as we watched the forecast which spoke of a coming summer storm, Mom, Hannah and I went on a flower picking spree. We saw no need to let our flowers go to waste in wind and rain.
The storm never came, but we got some lovely bouquets out of the deal. This one made by Mom and Hannah will go down in my memory as one of the most perfect bouquets ever.
I have made my first two gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free pies (with motherly and sisterly help). Rhubarb Strawberry Pie for Dad's birthday and Homegrown Cherry Pie for Father's Day/the 4th of July.
The recipe was a bit of a challenge to create and the pie crust a bit finicky, but I am figuring out a technique. What really matters is that it tasted "real." Success!
After several years of enjoying Set Apart Girl online magazine, I have now received print Issue No. 1!
The ministry of Set Apart Girl originated as a means of discipling teens and young women in the ways of Christ. Over the years they have expanded to reach out to young married women and mothers.
"The preoccupation of seventeen-year-old girls don't seem to change much from generation to generation. But in every generation, there seem to be a few who make other choices."
